Italy international goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon will remain with Juventus and will not move elsewhere in the summer, including Roma, the player’s agent has claimed.
The 33-year-old remained tight-lipped on his future plans on Monday when he told the media that “now is not the time to speak about what I will be doing next year.”
Some reports in the Italian media also suggested that Buffon could move to Juventus’ Italian rivals Roma, but his representative Silvano Martina has now dismissed all those rumours. The 33-year-old remained tight-lipped on his future plans on Monday when he told the media that “now is not the time to speak about what I will be doing next year.”
“Gigi to Roma? Nothing is true,” said Martina, according to Goal.com Italy. “There are people who wake up in the morning and start news which does not have any foundation. Even the questions they asked yesterday about the withdrawal from the national team has no reason.
“And what should Buffon do when he is asked for the 200th time whether he will remain in Turin or not? It is guaranteed that he will stay at Juve because he has two-and-a-half years left on his contract.”
